So where can you turn when you feel like things are getting out of hand at school?

Most schools have a counsellor or chaplain or year level co-ordinator whose job it is to sort out hassles, difficulties or disputes. They can be a sort of mentor you can go and dump your worries on and who will give you ideas on how you might sort through them.

These can be things like:

  • Difficulties you’re having with school work
  • Issues with subjects or teachers
  • Bullying or friendship issues
  • Trouble at home
  • Feelings of worry and anxiety in any areas of your life
  • Pretty much anything you’d like to get off your chest

There’s no need to suffer on your own. Ask around and see who  your “go to” person is at school and pop in for a chat. The more people you have in your support team, the better!
